What's the first biome, and what does it require?

Forest. It has no Speed requirement at all and is the intended starting zone — see the beginner guide for why you should farm here before pushing further.

Where's the biggest difficulty spike in the biome progression?

Between Jungle and Cosmic. Jungle only needs 40,000 Speed, but Cosmic jumps all the way to roughly 700 million — by far the largest single gap in the entire route, and worth budgeting several dedicated Treadmill sessions for rather than expecting to clear it incidentally.

How many biomes does Steal an Egg have?

Twelve: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple, and Angels & Demons. Each one past Forest is gated by a minimum Speed threshold, and each has its own Guardian(s) defending its egg nests — generally, higher biomes hold higher-value eggs but respond faster to a failed steal.

Why is the jump into Cosmic so much bigger than the ones before it?

Going from Jungle (40,000 Speed) to Cosmic (roughly 700 million) is a jump of nearly 17,500x — nothing else in the progression comes close. Practically, this means the mid-game biomes (Snow through Prehistoric) function as your main earning-and-training grounds for a long stretch before Cosmic becomes realistic; don’t expect to walk into Cosmic shortly after clearing Jungle.

Does a higher biome always mean a better egg?

Generally yes, but not automatically worth the risk. A biome’s Guardians scale with its value, so arriving with only the bare minimum Speed threshold — rather than a comfortable margin above it — usually means getting caught often enough that the biome isn’t actually profitable yet. Where should I actually be earning while I train toward the next biome?

Whichever biome you can currently clear comfortably, not the one you’re saving up to reach.
